Enriched Air Nitrox Pre-Requisites
To start the Enriched Air Nitrox course you need to be at least 12 years old and certified as a PADI Open Water Diver.
All PADI courses and programs require you to answer a medical questionnaire. Please take a look at the PADI Medical form to find out if you should be examined by your Doctor before participating in Recreational Scuba Diving.
What’s Involved?
During the course you’ll learn why diving with air that has a higher oxygen content and lower nitrogen content will give you longer bottom times. You’ll learn about enriched air equipment considerations and why scuba tanks must meet oxygen service standards and be dedicated for use with EAN. Maximize your fun when diving with enriched air! You will also:
- Discuss how to manage oxygen exposure during your dives
- Practice analyzing the oxygen content of your tank
- Set your computer to dive with enriched air
After watching the PADI Enriched Air Nitrox video and reading your EAN Diver manual you’ll be ready to discuss the course content with your instructor and pass your exam.

You also have the option to complete one or more open water dives using EAN as part of the course. You can even take your EAN Diver course at the same time as your Deep Diver or Wreck Diver Specialty and receive two specialty certifications at once!
Duration
The course consists of watching a video, completing some knowledge reviews and a final exam. This can be completed in an afternoon then the following morning you would go out for your EAN dives. Get certified as an Enriched Air Nitrox diver in only 1 day.

The EAN course is 5.800 Baht NOT including any dives or 7.500 Baht including 2 dives.
