Are you ready to take the first step to becoming a PADI Pro? The PADI Divemaster Training course is a fantastic opportunity for you to develop leadership abilities, enhance your diving knowledge and refine your skills. As a certified Divemaster, you will have the ability to assist instructors, lead dive trips, and supervise dive activities.
Our Divemaster internship package is specially crafted to get you prepped and ready to work anywhere in the world as a PADI pro. Regardless of your current certification level, we will tailor our packages to fit your unique needs. You’ll receive guidance from our experienced instructors and learn the key skills required to become a successful PADI Divemaster in the scuba industry. Also, you’ll get the chance to go on fun dives and relish the beauty of living on a tropical paradise island in the Gulf of Thailand, as part of the Scuba Shack team.
Embarking on the Assistant Instructor Course is a natural progression for PADI Divemasters seeking to advance their skills. Serving as the initial phase of the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC), this course seamlessly builds upon your Divemaster training while acquainting you with the responsibilities of an instructional assistant. It encompasses a comprehensive curriculum that delves into academic teaching techniques, as well as confined and open water training, equipping you with the knowledge and practical expertise necessary to excel in your role.
Our experienced and passionate PADI Course Director, JAMES ELLIS, will guide you through comprehensive training, including classroom sessions, water skills development, and practical teaching exercises. Upon successful completion, you will be eligible to attend the Instructor Examination (IE).
At Scuba Shack we also offer a 7-month instructor internship where we’ll prepare you to work as a PADI professional anywhere in the world (No previous experience needed). No matter what level of certification you currently have, we offer tailor-made packages to suit your needs.
Once you become a certified PADI Instructor, you can expand your teaching repertoire by becoming a Specialty Instructor. We offer a range of specialty courses, such as Deep Diver, Enriched Air Nitrox, Wreck Diver, and more. These courses allow you to explore specific diving interests and offer enhanced training to your students.
By becoming a PADI IDC Staff Instructor, you will be an important part of the Instructor development process and make a lasting impact on the future of PADI Instructors. Your expertise will help train a new generation of skilled and competent professionals in diving. All of our group sizes consist of a maximum of 4 people to give you that personal experience and full attention during your dive adventure.
We leave early in the morning well ahead of most of the other dive schools. We go to our best dive sites ensuring you are surrounded by fish and not bubbles.

We are a small, family run dive centre that offers all PADI courses and programs from the Discover Scuba Diving program up to the professional level of IDC Staff Instructor. We adhere to PADI standards and always put safety first.
We take the time students need meaning we often do extra training if required. We also do not limit our dive time! If you are an experienced diver and good on air, we do more than 1-hour dives.
All of our equipment is Scubapro and is maintained regularly by our in-house Scubapro technicians. We also replace our equipment regularly to provide you with the best equipment possible.
