MASTER SCUBA DIVER TRAINER PRE-REQUISITES

You need to be certified as a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor. You can then continue your education by taking Specialty Instructor courses.  Once you have 5 specialties and 25 certifications you can apply to PADI for your MSDT rating.

WHAT’S INVOLVED

Padi Courses Elearning | Scuba Shack Koh Tao

You’ll learn new teaching techniques while fine tuning your skills and methods for that particular specialized activity. Specialty Instructor courses provide teaching tips and hands-on experience that you can implement right away. You’ll also get great tips and ideas for marketing your specialty courses. Overall this will mean a more varied teaching experience for you. Specialties available include:

  • Deep Diver
  • Enriched Air Diver
  • Emergency Oxygen Provider
  • Wreck Diver
  • Dive against Debris Diver (Distinctive Specialty)

MASTER SCUBA DIVER TRAINER COURSE DURATION

Each specialty course requires either one or two dives. You also spend some time in the classroom with our Course Director reviewing the course standards and requirements.

HOW MUCH DO SPECIALTY INSTRUCTOR COURSES COST?

4000 Baht per specialty or 16000 Baht for 5 specialties. You also need to pay PADI directly for your specialty rating certification. It is currently AUD $131 per specialty. You also get 1 specialty certification for FREE if you apply for five. The MSDT certification fee is also free if you complete 5 specialties with a Course Director.
